During the lockdown in Europe, the Euroinvestment “public” activities have to be stopped and all project implementation reprogrammed. Meanwhile, the consortium devoted efforts in improving the outcomes and from September we will be back on track.

April was the month where the Euroinvestment partners have planned to promote the first set of the multiplier events in Portugal, Spain and Cyprus. Due to the well-known reasons, the events were postponed without a new date and all the project implementation reprogrammed.

Since that time, the consortium team has devoted the staff effort to improve the project outcomes and very soon the 15 mini-games will be available also in the national languages. The games in English can be found already on our website but before the end of the summer, you can also access the version in Portuguese, Spanish, Greek and Catalan.

To complement the games, the consortium has developed two handbooks that will facilitate the use of the games in different contexts and by different targets. There are two handbooks: one for trainers/tutors/teachers in adult education, aimed to present the games and how can they be used for educational purposes both in formal and informal adult education opportunities; a second one targeting adults, guiding them to explore the games as users and autonomously learn from them.

What will happen from September 2020? A large variety of activities will be implemented (details will be announced in due time):

  • A set of multiplier event “Let’s Play an Educational and creative game on financial literacy?” will be organized in Portugal, Spain, and Cyprus by the end of September, targeting adult educators and adult learners. In this event, we will present the 15 mini-games in detail and give access to them ao any interested person.
  • A capacitation moment for the project team to prepare the final workshops and events of the project. This event will be an international training event taking place (hopefully) in Portugal in the 3rd week of October.
  • National workshops for adult education providers and trainers/tutors/teachers, to present the final outcomes and the handbooks to explore the use of the games in formal and informal adult education settings. These workshops will be organized in November Portugal, Spain, and Cyprus.
  • A set of multiplier event “Together to play and learn?” will be organized in Portugal, Spain, and Cyprus by the end of December, targeting adult educators and adult learners. In this event, we will present the final handbooks and the holistic approach of the outcomes of the project as well as the plans for future developments.
